Aug 18, 2021 - 3:00 PM (ET) - Online
Hosted by CFMA
About this Event
The pandemic-related business and factory shut-downs were widespread during 2020. Now, a year later, the construction industry is seeing exorbitant price increases for raw materials, labor, and supply chain disruptions. This webinar will address the high cost of building materials, pre-purchasing strategies, construction contracts, construction schedule considerations, and the upside and pitfalls of utilizing alternative construction means and methods to get balance sheets to pre-pandemic norms.
After this session, attendees will be able to:
- Learn about the rise of material costs as well as the ability to obtain those materials for upcoming projects.
- Understand the global and local economies and how they affect material escalation and availability.
- Better understand supplier timelines to negotiate upcoming contracts with developers and project owners to mitigate contract risk
